    Fabulous

Location was perfect, 2 room suite was roomy, cost was very fair, large enough to entertain in, exposed brick gives true feel of new orleans, staff ws helpful, location- location

Took 2 days before maid came in, had some 'critters' we didnt invite, outdated decor

    Fabulous

Location, location, location! I absolutely loved that when we got to New Orleans we were able to park and leave the car all weekend. We were able to walk to Bourbon St and the French Quarter with no problem. The staff was very friendly and I will stay there again when I go back.

    Exceptional

The hotel staff was friendly, they put us in a suite with out any extra cost. It was very close to the French Quarters and next to the casino so parking was not a problem. The room was nice and comfortable even though it is an older hotel. I would stay at this hotel again and/or recommend to others.

I just had to get used to the fact that it is an older hotel but if you can get past that it is fine.

    Very good

ample space for 6 people to stay

microwave intermittently worked, older appliances and fixtures

    Superb

We had a really good time at the hotel. If you are into cookie cutter Marriott type hotels, this is not for you. It's eclectic and fun. The achitecture of the older portion was nice. The staff was really friendly (except one, but what are you gonna do). I especially loved the location. Just outside of the French Quarter, and across from casino and trolleys. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable.

    Good

    Location; friendliness of staff; Price;

Outdated. No secure location to keep luggage while waiting for late check- in. Check-in time of 4:00 is too late in some instances. The carpet is dirty. The fixtures in the rooms break in the tub. The toilet hung up; light bulb out; jets in bath didn't work; In serious need of updating and maintenance.

    Fabulous

We stayed in a three bedroom apartment with a kitchen and living room. We slept eight comfortably. Great location near the quarter.

No complaints, but beware it is dated. The outside looks old and plain but we enjoyed it and had no problems.

    Superb

Very comfortable rooms, fully equipped kitchen.

Small screen old TV sets, narrow corridors and path from the lift hall to the room.

    Very good

Location close to the convention center kind and helpfull staff equiped kitchen in the appartement

Windows were facing a very narrow street and the rooms were dark all the day

    Fabulous

Location was excellent. Under construction but still very nice. Big rooms and nice kitchen

Awekward getting luggage to the new rooms but not too difficult.

    Very good

    Proximity to convention center

The hotel was damp and musty smelling with water damage that had not been repaired

    Fabulous

Big suites with a full kitchen, right next to the French quarter. Nice style with a large bathtub and a brick wall. Comfortable queen size bed. Outdoor pool looked nice (did not use). Coffee brewed every morning in the lounge :).

Some of the staff were really helpful, but some were lazy and didn't seem so keen on organizing things for us.

    Superb

The location was perfect! Very close to the French Quarter, but not so close that we were overwhelmed by the noise and crowds. We were able to comfortably walk everywhere and felt very safe. We booked the 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom and we were pleasantly surprised to find the private rooftop terrace on the third floor. Was a pleasant place to relax and enjoy some of the sights/sounds of the city. We wish we had more time to take advantage of the kitchen, living room and the roof deck. My boyfriend and I were traveling with one other young couple (we are all late 20s - early 30s) and we all were very satisfied with Hotel de L'eau Vive. We had tons of privacy and also plenty of space to enjoy together. Would definitely recommend this to travelers who like the boutique hotel experience.

Some of the decor was a bit outdated, but the convenient location overshadowed this in our opinions. The lobby could use a refresh. There was no on-site parking, but there are several pay lots within a short walk.

    Good

I can say I was a concerned with the reviews from other travelers but the price and location for the weekend couldn't be matched. Travelling with 2 couples, the two bedroom option was nice. There were kitchens in both rooms as well as dishwashers. Overall, it was dated and the bed wasn't the most comfortable but a good value and worked really well for 2 couples (rooms 604a/b).

    Good

Was close to French Quarter and downtown area. People were friendly. They allowed us a check out later than 10.

It was much OLDER than expected. Room needed some touch up painting and work. No TV in bedroom.
